Of course, we need to give a special ✨thank you✨ to the 250,000-person community at Mind the Product, Pendo, and Product Collective who are reshaping this industry, day after day. Here are seven resolutions you should implement in the new year.

1. Stay curious and ask questions

In 2024, learning isn’t just an activity—it’s your superpower. It’s astonishing 23,000+ product professionals get certification our five courses this year—and that only including Pendo. From Product-Led Growth fundamentals and AI-powered product management for Radical Product ThinkingYou prove that continuous learning is a true competitive advantage for your career.

Resolution: Challenge yourself to keep getting certified, with and without Pendo. Learning courses are a powerful and tangible way to prove your commitment to honing your skills. Find certifications, workshops, or courses that make you curious or a little uncomfortable—because that’s where growth happens.

2. Keep digging into the data

Gone are the days when main sentences with “I think” and “I think” no longer exist. 2025 is about leading with “I know”, because you are backed by solid product data. Data is not just information—it is your roadmap to innovation.

Your fellow product professionals dive into analytics, create dashboards, and turn raw numbers into compelling narratives. Pendo collected 22,543,229,896,181 events in 2024, and users are working hard:

  • 73% of Pendo customers use Pendo AI
  • 38% of Pendo users run Data Explorer reports
  • 27% of Pendo users bookmark a feature
  • 29% of Pendo users create paths
  • 25% of Pendo users bookmark a page

Resolution: Commit to data-driven decision making. Create one new dashboard (or upgrade a dashboard) every month, challenge your assumptions, and let the insights guide your product strategy in 2025. product benchmarks can be tailored to your industry, company size, and region, so you can easily set the foundation for growth, engagement, product adoption, and more.

3. Spend more time with your customers

Great product management isn’t just about tracking metrics. You need to bring an insane customer focus to everything you do.

This year, product managers like you are moving beyond tracking user feedback via sticky notes and Slack messages, but also moving towards ongoing feedback programs.

Resolution: Treat your customers and their feedback as your most valuable asset. Schedule customer interviews regularly. Bring all your qualitative data into one place. Create a continuous feedback loop. Analyze and act on qualitative data. Empathize with your users. By making your customers feel heard, your product (and you) become better.

4. Make more friends

Or networking..whatever you want to call it. This year, 150,000+ members ProductTank, Love, Pay attention to the productAnd Product Collective hosting 450+ events with quite a spectacular impact. At this event, we saw:

  • 110+ expert-led sessions with transformative insights
  • 780+ companies represented
  • Countless connection established 🫶

Just look at all these smiling ProductTank leaders:

Resolution: Attend at least one industry event. Join the Mind the Product online community. Join a product tank in your city—and if your city doesn’t have one, take this as your sign to create one.

5. Reading

The product community reading list in 2024 is a master class in innovation. This year, you’ll love these six resources best:

  1. A guide to AI-enhanced product management: Learn how to best use AI, from product discovery to iteration.
  2. Product benchmarking tool: The people have spoken—and they want to know how their app compares to similar apps.
  3. The Rise of Product Operations: The intersection of product, engineering and customer success has become an increasingly popular role.
  4. How Pendo makes it easy to improve compliance and efficiency in Salesforce: ‘Nuff said.
  5. 10 KPIs every product leader needs to know: You won’t BELIEVE #9. (Okay, maybe you will).
  6. Cognitive biases in product management: Rely on data to avoid this pitfall.

Resolution: Add 45 minutes to your schedule each week to keep up with industry trends and best practices. While this may not seem like much, you will be surprised at the impact of regular and dedicated study time.

6. Work together

This year, Pendo merged with two new companies: Gold AI And Product Collective. You may have heard about Zelta AI in July, but we announced the acquisition of Product Collective later in the year (at Pendomonium 2024).

By combining Product Collective and Mind the Product, we have established ourselves largest US product community, creating a global network of product innovation. In case you missed it, learn more.

Resolution: Think about how you will reach out to your colleagues in 2025, whether it’s mentoring colleagues, working with other teams in your company, or holding product meetups in your own city.

7. Celebrate wins as a team

Every dashboard created, every customer interviewed, every feature launched—it’s a win. Big or small, it matters, but often, we don’t pause to appreciate our hard work. In 2025, how can you recognize your own achievements and lift up others?

At Pendomonium 2024, we are hosting annual customer awards celebrating and recognizing winners across a variety of categories, from product-driven growth to extraordinary business impact and employee experience.

Here’s a peek at Employee Experience winner, Ferguson, with CEO and CPO Pendo:

Resolution: Create personal or team rituals to regularly acknowledge and celebrate your accomplishments. From small positive feedback to big changes in ARR, there are always good things we need to be aware of every week.

The future of product management is bright

As we head into 2025, remember: You’re not just managing a product. You create experiences, solve problems, and help advance the product profession. This is for you, the people who turn vision into reality. 2025 is yours year. 🥂
